ADVANCED OPEN WATER

Once you’re Open Water certified, advanced diver training is the natural next step for anyone serious about advanced scuba diving in Roatán. It’s five dives with your instructor, covering navigation and buoyancy work, a deep dive, and three additional dives you can shape around your own interests — most divers say it’s the most enjoyable course of all, simply because you get to try a bit of everything the reef has to offer.

The biggest practical benefit is depth. Once you’re certified, your limit moves from 18 meters to 30 meters (60 to 100 feet) — a real difference in what’s accessible to you. Deeper wrecks, walls, and sites that simply aren’t in reach as an Open Water diver open up, along with better buoyancy control and navigation skills that carry into every dive you do afterward, anywhere in the world.

This is the most popular continuing education course we teach, and for good reason: it turns you into a noticeably more capable, more confident diver in just a couple of days, without the time commitment of a full week-long program.
